Stereonet 3D view

A brand new update of OSXStereonet by Nestor Cardozo and Rich Allmendinger has a wonderful option under “View” called “Toggle 3D view”. It lets you see the lower hemisphere projection in 3D – very useful for most of us, and particularly for those struggling to see the connection between the regular 2D net and its actual 3D implications. Highly recommended for anyone with access to a Mac. Download the program here:

  2. I just released an online stereonet app that was designed entirely in 3D. I built it from the ground up from an educational/teaching point of view. So the whole stereonet is an overlay that you trace on, and can rotate.

    Tell me what you think!

    • Sorry about the late answer: This is a great application, and you must have put a lot of effort into it. Very good for educational purposes. Adding some statistical functions would make it even better.
